I grew up in and still reside in North Myrtle Beach South Carolina. I attended North Myrtle Beach High School where I was a three sport athlete. I received All-State honors in basketball and softball and played in the North/South Allstar softball game. I graduated with and Academic Diploma in 1989. I then attended Coastal Carolina University where I played basketball from 1989 until 1991. In 1992 I was married and had my daughter Alicia. I started my own business in 1996 as a free lance architectural draftsperson working under the tutelage of AIA Architect R. Nelson Crowe. In 2014, I returned to Coastal Carolina University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in History and I graduated in 2016. In 2017 I entered the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program at Coastal Carolina University and graduated December of 2018. In 2019 I was accepted into the PhD in Public History program at Middle Tennessee State University.
